Perform a Search
Types of Searches
Birth Certificate (BC): A copy of the birth certificate. Release is sometimes required. Certified copies available. Turnaround time varies.
Consumer Credit (CC): Credit Report from a national bureau. A signed release is required from the subject authorizing the credit check.
Business Credit Report (CR): Provides executive summary, credit risk analysis, public records, industry comparison profile and trade payment history.
Driver's License (DL): A copy of the state driver's license record of a subject. Availability and legal uses of the reports vary from state to state.
Drug Screening - 5 Panel (DS): A drug screen for 5 illegal substances. All drug screening services will be conducted in your immediate geographical area and will include the following: chain of custody kits, courier pickup, GC/MS confirmation, requisitions, EMIT screen and report delivery via courier.
Drug Screening - 10 Panel (DT): A drug screen for 10 illegal substances. All drug screening services will be conducted in your immediate geographical area and will include the following: chain of custody kits, courier pickup, GC/MS confirmation, requisitions, EMIT screen and report delivery via courier.
Education Verification (ED): Confirmation of the subject's claimed educational credentials (high school, college, professional, doctorate, or technical degrees). Search confirms highest degree.
Employment Verification (EV): (Last 3 employers or past 5 years) Given a resume or application, we can verify company, position(s) held, salary (if not prohibited by company policy), date of employment and eligibility for rehire (if not prohibited by company policy).
Felony and Misdemeanor (FM): A search of the parish/county seat for any criminal records. Information returned includes: felony, misdemeanor and criminal traffic.
Lawyer Background (LA): A search of the state bar association to determine the status of a lawyer's bar credentials.
Pre-employment Credit Check (PC): Given the subject's consent/release with the full name, including "Jr." or "Sr.", social security number and full address, a credit report from a national bureau is provided. The account numbers, identification of spouse and age are not provided on the report.
Reference Verification (RF): Given a resume or application, we will verify up to three references provided by the applicant. Information returned will include: length of time known, in what capacity, general impressions, strengths/weaknesses, ability to interact with others and reasons for no recommendation.
Sexual Offender (SO): A search of the state or parish/county repository for known sexual offenders. Rules vary from state to state regarding the dissemination of this data. Information returned may include: Subject's name, date of birth, social security number, address, race, sex, height, weight, hair and eye color, distinguishing marks, alias(es), FBI and state offender number and offense.
Social Security Verification (SS): Given a name and social security number, we can verify if the number has been assigned to the search name.
Workers' Compensation (WC): A check of state or regional records for evidence of any workers' compensation claim(s) made by the subject. Information returned varies from state to state and may include file or case number, ID information, nature of injury and date of claim. Turnaround times vary state to state. NOTE: Use of workers' compensation information is strictly REGULATED by each state. A release is often required. Some states require the release to be notarized.
A search consists of a single name search and in a single jurisdiction of the public record for a period of seven (7) years from the date of the search. A search which is conducted for a period of years in excess of seven (7) years from the date of the search will include the basic fee for the search type plus an additional fee per additional year searched over seven (7) years.
A search includes a single name in a single jurisdiction of the public record for a fee associated with the search type and includes a report on all cases found up to and including five (5) cases located on the search subject. Should the search reveal a number of cases on the search subject in excess of five (5) cases, the cost would include a sum of the basic search fee plus an additional fee per case over five (5) cases researched.

For individual searches processed by ESS, please add $4.00 per search requested by fax. For multiple searches requested at the same time, please add $4.00 for the first search and $2.00 for each attached search.
